Who am I?

Hi. I’m Lars.

Online I usually go by ‘Problemen’, unless someone has already taken that name and I have to make up some ‘xXPr0Bl3menXxNoScopexX’ nonsense. I do many things, but online I’m mostly gaming or writing. I’ve been doing both ever since I was a small child, leading me to become a semi-pro gamer for a while (which basically meant that I was paid around 20 dollars a month for pwning noobs) and an editor of our high school newspaper. These illustrious achievements were only the beginning of my career.

I kept writing (and gaming) and thanks to some incredibly lucky scenarios I managed to land some gigs as a columnist (I used to be the resident columnist for a pretty large Dutch website which has gone tits up since then for some reason) and freelance writer early on my career. That got the ball rolling and now I’m in a position where I can say that my work and content has been read and seen by hundreds of thousands of people.

No, but seriously. What started off as me being a translator (I’m fluent in English and Dutch) and technical writer for some beer money at university evolved into what I am now; a published writer of sorts and, most astonishingly, a gaming writer and product reviewer. If only little Lars knew what was in store for him.

In case you don’t know you Counter-Strike legends: I’m the dude on the left.
